TECNO, the top smartphone brand in Ghana, has recently launched its latest CAMON 20 series. In collaboration with MTN, a leading telecommunications company, TECNO held an impressive launch event at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel on May 8th, 2023. The event was attended by notable figures such as Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Hon. Micheal Okyere Baafi, members of the media, tech bloggers, and representatives from various organizations including NCA and MTN.
During the launch event, TECNO introduced the industry’s first CAMON PUZZLE deconstructionist design and the most recent “Magic Skin” material smartphone. The brand also highlighted the new features of the CAMON 20 series, including the Steady Night Portrait Video feature, Real-time SSF of 5000 times/second, 50MP light chaser ultra-sensing (RGBW) sensor + 7 lens crystal clear camera module, and a Professional wide-angle camera: 108MP wide-angle and macro camera, which is currently the highest-definition in the industry. Additionally, TECNO unveiled the newest “Magic Sin” material technology that is waterproof, heat, cold, stain and abrasion resistant.
At the launch event, TECNO honored Stonebwoy, its brand ambassador, with a “certificate of appreciation” for his unwavering support of the company and his strong will and passion.
Guido Sopiimeh, Senior Manager of Commercial Planning and Analytics at MTN Ghana, stated that MTN and TECNO have partnered to advance the digital agenda by providing affordable products for customers, including 2GB of free unlimited internet for anyone who purchases a device. This is to enable customers to enjoy the internet in addition to the features of the newly launched CAMON 20 series.
The event concluded with a thrilling performance by TECNO’s brand ambassador, Stonebwoy, hosted by award-winning media personality Naa Ashorkor.
