Jamie Foxx took to Instagram after a three-week hiatus to thank his fans for their support following his recent hospitalization due to a medical emergency. In his May 3 post, the 55-year-old actor expressed his gratitude for the love and blessings he received. His friends and followers, including DJ Khaled, Ludacris, AJ McLean, and Kenan Thompson, offered their prayers and well wishes in the comments section.
Foxx’s hospitalization was confirmed on April 12 by his representative, who stated that his family rushed to the hospital when they learned of his condition. Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, also confirmed his status with an Instagram post, thanking fans for their prayers and asking for privacy.
On the same day as Foxx’s Instagram post, it was reported that Nick Cannon would temporarily replace Foxx as guest host on the Fox game show “Beat Shazam.” Fox shared a statement with Deadline announcing Cannon’s guest hosting role for the show’s sixth season.
